This series consists of handwritten copies of official business correspondence from the cashiers of the Branch Banks to other cashiers of the Branch Banks, to other Bank officers such as the president and the board of directors of each Branch, and to officials and firms outside of the State of Alabama. Included are the names of the correspondents, the official title of the correspondents, the date of the letter, the name of the Branch Bank that the letter is being sent from, and the place to which the letter is being sent. The letters deal with such matters as mortgages, the sale of land, the collection and redemption of notes, and other matters which pertain to the overall function and banking methods of the State Bank and its Branches.
